OLA COMMUNITY GUIDELINES
What We Stand For
OLA exists to build a welcoming, inclusive community around beach tennis. We believe the best experiences happen when everyone feels safe, respected, and valued — on and off the sand. We are committed to creating an environment where players of all backgrounds, skill levels, and identities can enjoy the sport, build friendships, and grow together.
Our Standards
We expect every member of the OLA community to:
- Treat all players, staff, coaches, and spectators with respect and kindness
- Embrace competition with sportsmanship and integrity
- Respect the physical safety and personal boundaries of others
- Contribute positively to the atmosphere at OLA events, courts, and online spaces
- Follow the direction of OLA staff, coaches, and event officials
- Behavior that undermines the safety, dignity, or enjoyment of others in our community is not tolerated.
Reporting a Concern
If you experience or witness behavior that conflicts with these standards, we want to hear about it.
How to report: Email hello@olabeachtennis.com with a description of what happened, when, and who was involved. All reports are reviewed confidentially by OLA leadership. You can also speak directly with any OLA staff member or coach on site. We take every concern seriously.
How We Respond
OLA leadership reviews all reported concerns and takes action based on the nature and severity of the behavior. Our responses may include:
- A private conversation and verbal warning
- A formal written warning
- Temporary suspension from OLA events and programming
- Permanent removal from the OLA community
We reserve the right to take immediate action when the safety of our community is at risk. Decisions are made at the discretion of OLA leadership and are final.
Our Commitment
These guidelines exist because we believe a strong community requires clear expectations and accountability. If something doesn't feel right, say something. We'd rather hear about it and act than let it go unaddressed.
